Columbus Ohio – Today the Columbus Fury of the Pro Volleyball Federation (PVF) announced the hiring of Maria J. Zigmunt as the Vice President of Ticket Sales and Operations. Ms. Zigmunt brings her vast experience in ticketing and marketing to the Columbus Fury as the team closes in on its inaugural season.

“I am honored to be part of the team that will help launch the Columbus Fury” Ms. Zigmunt said. “It’s the right time for women’s sports and we’ll certainly be offering a terrific product that volleyball and sports fans will enjoy.”

“Hiring quality people is always the first step toward creating a successful, thriving team and we are fortunate to secure an experienced industry professional of the caliber of Maria to lead our ticketing operation,” said Columbus Fury CEO David Paitson.

Ms. Zigmunt has 25 years’ experience in ticketing, including 23 of those years working for Ticketmaster Entertainment including stints as Market Manager and General Manager in Columbus, Cincinnati, and Dallas.  The Indiana University graduate also worked for the Cincinnati Museum Center, MJZ Consulting, and Anthem.

Ms. Zigmunt’s team will include Mitchell Crouse and Erika Kolb. Mitchell and Erika both are graduates of The Ohio State University and come to the Columbus Fury from the OSU Department of Athletics, where they gained invaluable experience in ticket sales and fan fulfillment.
