Senior Vice President, Marketing & Communications



Ryan Grab joined Pro Volleyball Federation as Senior Vice President, Marketing and Communications, where he oversees all aspects of public relations, social media, athlete strategy and branding, content marketing, and internal communications. 

With more than 12 years of experience in professional sports, Ryan previously served as VP, Communications and PR for Bellator MMA, a subsidiary of the Paramount Global entertainment group, driving the challenger brand to unprecedented media coverage, innovative broadcast partnerships, and exponential international growth within the combat sports industry. 

Prior to his time with Bellator MMA, Ryan was the Director of Communications for Phoenix Raceway, a member of the NASCAR family of racetracks, where the venue successfully campaigned to receive public funding for facility upgrades, as well as to ultimately host the league’s championship event. 

Ryan began his career in sports with the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) in Las Vegas in 2010. In addition to his role in communications, he also helped create the organization’s first Athlete Development and Strategy department, where he was responsible for planning and programming educational summits for active athletes, as well as promoting health and wellness initiatives within the sport. He also spent two years leading the Strikeforce brand following the UFC’s acquisition of the property, which saw the successful career launch of several future world champions, including Ronda Rousey and Daniel Cormier. 

He joined the UFC after earning his master’s degree in Sports Management from the University of Georgia, where he also attended undergrad. Ryan currently resides in Frisco. TX, with his wife Kalene and their four rescue dogs.
